Iroquois mush

Ingredients

  • 2 cups White corn (onëögë:n) meal
  • 5 cups wáter
  • Boil 5 cups of water.

Pour the toasted corn meal into the 5 cups of boiling wáter (oneganyaës) stirring constantly with a whisk until the mush has formed a slightly sticky consistency. About 10 minutes.

In the last minutes of cooking, sweeten mush with maple syrup or Brown sugar with the option to add fresh or dried blueberries or cranberries.
